Training

Continue your conditioning regimen.
Begin weight training.

Refine skating skills

Work on your technique.
Build your endurance.
Be able to burst to full speed even at the end of your shift.

Profiles

Develop your target colleges list.
Mail your profile and start your college files.
Carry your profile with you.
Visit colleges.

Visibility

Consider opportunities like HNIB.
High school players should try out for the Chicago Showcase.

Grow as a player

Juniors

Participate in a junior try-out to see where you stack up.
If you make one of the local teams, seriously consider playing there.

Rules to remember

Live and play and control--on and off the ice.
Achieve your academic potential.
Enhance your playing skills.
